Privacy notice
Your privacy is important to us. In addition to the general privacy policy of DZ BANK AG, we would therefore like to tell you a little more about how your data is processed on our website.
1. Introduction
DZ BANK AG would like to welcome you to our website and thank you for your interest in our company. We take your privacy very seriously and we want you to feel safe while you are visiting our website.
If you share any personal data with us, we will treat it very carefully in accordance with standard banking practice and in compliance with data protection legislation.
For your own protection, please contact us by post if you need to communicate any confidential information.
2. Collecting and processing personal data
On this website, we only collect, process, and use personal data to the extent necessary.
DZ BANK processes personal data, such as your IP address or the type and version of your web browser, in order to generate a functioning visual representation of our website. The data collected will not be sold or transferred to third parties under any circumstances, except where specifically stated in this privacy policy.
Personal data will be collected and processed only when you enter it – e.g. in order to request information material – and will be used exclusively for the purpose for which it was provided.
DZ BANK processes and stores personal data only for the period of time that is required to fulfill the purpose for which the data is stored, or for the period of time required by law. If the purpose for which your data is stored ceases to apply or when an applicable statutory storage period expires, the relevant personal data is routinely blocked or erased in accordance with statutory requirements. Our website uses HTTPS encryption. If we collect your personal data, such data is transmitted in an encrypted format.
3. Sharing content from this website on social media
In order to enable you to share our website content on social media (Facebook, Twitter), we are using the c‘t Shariff method. This method ensures that your data will be transmitted to the relevant social network only if you actively use a ‘share’ button. If you are logged into Facebook or Google+, clicking on the corresponding network button will establish a connection with this network without any new window being opened. For Twitter, a pop-up window will appear in which you can edit the text of your tweet. The shared data includes your IP address and information on your visit to our website. Please refer to the privacy policies of the relevant social media providers to find out more about the purpose and extent of their collection, further processing and use of your personal data, and about your rights and the settings available to protect your privacy.
4. Contact form and email enquiries
Several of the sub-pages of our website offer you the opportunity to contact us through an online contact form.
If you contact us through an online form or via email, we will use the information provided by you for the sole purpose of resolving your enquiry. As soon as your enquiry is resolved, this data will be erased from our systems, provided no other record retention requirements apply.
